21 July 2007

Cool weather didn’t dampen the success of the Parkway Footy Frenzy event, which was well attended by 300 residents on Saturday 21 July at the Parkway Reserve at Lakeside. The event was presented by Delfin to provide community entertainment and an opportunity for residents to get to know each other better.

Family fun was provided by Hawka the Hawthorn Football Club mascot and Lindy Lou face painting, while musical act Vardos set the mood with their gypsy and traditional music. In addition, there was a giant inflatable jumping castle and slide, were competitions for the best footy-dressed children who each won Sherrin footballs, and Brumby’s Bakery ensured everyone was well fed with free pies, sauce and soft drinks.
